Rev. Gaines Neal Elms was born May 18, 1941 in Lincoln, AR and passed from this life on March 14, 2021 surrounded by family. Neal resided in Stillwell, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by parents Walter & Gertrude Elms, Sister Dean Simpson of Benton, AR.
He is survived by the love of his life for 59 years Lucretia Yvonne Elms of the home, brother Woody Elms of Tahlequah, OK daughter Valerie & husband Rev. Duane Muncy of Council Grove, Ks son Vincent Elms & fiance Janice Harper of Bentonville, AR, son Rev. Valton Elms & wife Denise of West Fork, AR, daughter Vicki Morris and husband Randy of Stilwell, OK, 7 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
Neal graduated high school in West TX and went on to become a ceiling mechanic by trade and pastored a Pentecostal church in Liberal, KS and Lincoln, AR. He also sat on the United Pentecostal Church district board in the state of KS. He attended Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle in Stillwell, OK. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and joking in his spare time. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and sharing his studies with those who would listen. His legacy of strong family ties lives on through his children.
The family wants to thank nurses, Angel & Pamela with Good Shepherd Hospice for their care. We also want to thank Dr. Bentley for his care of our dad.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 10, at the Fairfield Community Building, Fairfield, Stilwell, OK.
