Ronnie Ellis, age 51 of Norman, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019.

Ronald Scott Ellis was born February 25, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the younger of 2 children of Joe and Marilyn (Wilkinson) Ellis. Ronnie was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating with the Class of 1986. Ronnie was a 4 year letterman for the Dragon Golf Team, middle linebacker in football and a member of the 1985 State Champion Dragon Track Team. He then walked on at Northwestern State, and later took some classes at Okmulgee Tech in Muskogee, before settling in Norman.

Ronnie worked a variety of jobs throughout the years, but his favorite was working for the H&F Pizza Company in Norman. Ronnie was an interesting man; always learning and always true to himself. He was an avid reader and particularly interested in Celtic culture and music. He was a good friend, and someone you could count on. Ronnie was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Purcell. He was loved by his family and friends.

Ronnie is survived by:

His parents, Joe and Marilyn Ellis of Purcell;

His sister, Pam Ellis Hobbs and husband John of Purcell;

His nieces, His nieces are Haleigh Wood of Purcell, OK, Julie Wood-Scroggins and her husband Randy of Pauls Valley, OK and Brylie Hobbs of Purcell;

Great nieces are Kadie and Sydnee Scroggins of Pauls Valley

and his many friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial is scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
