Betty Ellis-Kingsley, born July 12, 1935, died on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at the age of 78 after struggling years with Alzheimer’s disease and most recently with lung cancer. Betty was known for her cooking, love of a good joke, friendliness and her overall sweetness. Betty was also tough and hardworking, retiring from General Motors in 1995. Happy things to her were her family and friends, her pets and dancing. She is enjoying a heavenly reunion with her parents, three siblings and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who preceded her in death. There is no doubt, they are all laughing out loud and having a ball now that she has joined them.
She is survived by her three children, Tony and Cathy Ellis of Purcell; Terry and Donelda Ellis of Purcell and Tina Harman of Oklahoma City. Eight Grandchildren: Kyle and Mary Ellis of Whitesboro, TX; Kasey and Kyan Knowles of Purcell; Kristen Haynes, Purcell; Kelly and Chad Weaver of Rosedale; Blake Ellis of Purcell; Shane Ellis of Norman; Macy Ellis of Purcell; Lauren Harman of Oklahoma City and three great-grandchildren Paisley Knowles, Addyson Haynes and Kash Knowles all of Purcell.
A celebration of her life will be 2:00 PM Wed, Feb. 12, 2014 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, OK.
