Anna “Beth” Ellis, 60-year-old resident of Taloga, OK, passed from this life on March 12, 2019. Beth was born January 28, 1959 to Willie and Gladene Nevels in St Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. The family moved to Thomas, OK where she attended grade school and then three years later, they moved to Putnam, OK. She attended school at Taloga Public School graduating with the class of 1977.
On June 10, 1977, Beth married Alan Ellis at the Taloga Christian Church and to this union two sons were born Lee Bronson and Dusty Alan. The family lived in Putnam, OK, Burns Flat, OK, and Taloga, OK, where she resided at the time of her passing. She was baptized at the Taloga Christian Church. Her passion was landscaping and water features, which she designed, constructed and maintained for her clients. She enjoyed gardening and spending time at the river, but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Gladene Nevels, one brother William Nevels, two nieces Brandy Cope and Angie Nevels, and brother-in-law Monty Kirk.
She is survived by her two sons Lee Bronson Ellis and wife Robin of Woodward, OK and Dusty Ellis and wife Alicia of Seiling, OK; five grandchildren Jase, Ali, Falynn, Korbyn, and Emery Ellis; two brothers Alan Nevels and wife Phyllis of Putnam, OK and Robert Nevels and wife Trish of Oakwood, OK; seven sisters Sue Morris of Colorado, Carol Calkins and husband Cecil of Webb, OK, Patricia Cope and husband Jim of Tenkiller, OK, Janet Sigala and Husband Toni of Clinton, OK, Linda Stidham and husband Dennis of Taloga, OK, Vicki Kirk of Taloga, OK, and Barbara Squires and husband Alan of Taloga, OK; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Taloga Fire & Ambulance Services in care of Shaw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 276, Vici, OK 73859.
