Robert Arthur "Bob" Elliott

Robert Arthur "Bob" Elliott

Robert "Bob" Arthur Elliott, son of Robert Andrew Elliott and Leota Fern Eastin was born in Colby, Kansas on May 27, 1945, and departed this life on August 25, 2017 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.

Bob was raised primarily in Englewood, Colorado, where he attended school, graduating in 1963. After high school he married Marlene Applegate and to this union a son, Curt was born. In 1969 he met Sharon and they were married in 1970. To this union Travis and Tonya were born.

Bob enjoyed teaching them to ride horses and taking them to gymkhanas on weekends. As they grew he purchased a boat and taught them to water ski and fish. Camping, water skiing and fishing became the weekend activity for many years. He also loved to hunt and taught Curt, Travis, Tonya and Jace to hunt.

He was a livestock feed salesman for 30 years and received numerous awards and won several trips. He never met a stranger. In 1999 his first grandchild, Jace was born and his life took on a new meaning. Every vacation or 3-day weekend was planned around Jace.

He and Sharon traveled all over Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Arkansas and his favorite trip, Cooperstown New York to watch him play baseball. He loved brining Jace to St Francis and taking him to the pool hall to play pool on Saturdays. They enjoyed fishing, golfing and any other thing that Jace wanted to do. He was following Jace around still.

In September of 2016 He and Sharon moved to Purcell OK to watch his senior year of baseball and football. He never missed a game and loved each one of them.
