Philip John Elias

Philip John Elias
December 5, 1942 ~ July 10, 2025

Philip John Elias was born on December 5, 1942, to John and Pauline Elias in Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life July 10, 2025, at the age of 82.

On September 9, 1971, Philip John Elias and Sherry Ann Montgomery were united in marriage. They raised five beautiful children and were blessed through DNA to find two additional sons. They were later blessed with twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Phil was a giving and kind man that loved a challenge. You never knew what new business adventure he decided to take on. No challenge was too big, everything from a car lot, 50’s soda shop, auctioneer, clothing store, motel owner, and even an oilman. One of his last ventures was when he purchased a junk yard on Route 66 and turned it into Bristow Mini Storages and commercial rentals.

Phil had many medical challenges and took them on just as vigorously as he took on business challenges. His cardiologist called him a walking miracle. There was no quit or defeat in him. He is now pain free and young again. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Elias; seven children, Eddie March and wife Brenda, Michelle Dean and husband Darin, Jeff Elias and wife Wendy, Phil Elias Jr., Paul Elias and wife Britney, Amber Elias and Greg Cullom, and Miles Elias; one brother, John Elias Jr.; twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Elias, three brothers, George, Tom, and Bill Elias.

The family will be hosting a private service at a later date. In honor of the numerous years of service Phil devoted as an auxiliary Police officer, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bristow Police Department.
