Mary Frances Elenburg
March 25, 1928 - April 12, 2017

Mary Frances Elenburg, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the early morning hours. Her family was with her when she passed away. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2017 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Montgomery officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mary Frances was born March 25, 1928 to John and Hazel Fink in El Reno, Oklahoma. Fran had many friends while growing up in El Reno. While in high school a group of girls proclaims themselves as the DDT's Don't Dare Touch. They remained good friends the rest of their lives. On October 1, 1949 Fran married the love of her life Jimmie Elenburg. They moved to Ponca City where Jimmie was employed with Continental Oil Company. To their union was born Stephen James and Peggy Jonette. Jim and Fran were involved in many bridge groups. Fran was still able to play bridge until her passing. Fran worked at Bell Phone Company after high school in El Reno also Boy Scouts office in Ponca City and Conoco. They were the first dual retirement at Conoco. They both retired while in their fifties.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Fink; Husband, Jimmie Elenburg; Sister, Dixie Nixon; Son-In-Law, John Jacobs.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Elenburg; daughter, Peggy Jacobs Meeks and her husband Mike Meeks; grandchildren, Melissa Jacobs, Daniel Helms, Katie Quillin and her husband Thomas; and Michael Jacobs. great grandchildren, Julien and Luella Gray, Finn and Poppy Quillin, Jaidan and Bailey Morris.
