Roy B. Elder

Age 68

Roy B. Elder is Dead at 68

Roy B. Elder, 68, of 304 SE 41, died Friday afternoon at his home. He had been ill since Tuesday.

Rites are pending at the Hunter funeral home.

Elder, a retired city fireman, was born at Des Moines, Iowa, and had lived in Oklahoma City more than 48 years. He attended Capitol Hill Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Maudie, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. K. D. Snedeker, Brownfield, Texas, and Mrs. J. O. McBride, 1619 Reding drive; two sons, Preston W., Wichita, Kan., and Fred R., Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. May Davies, Oklahoma City and a brother, R. I. Elder, of Washington state.
