Donna Lynn (Knight) Elder
July 27, 1945 ~ June 24, 2016 (age 70)

Donna Lynn Elder, 70, of Oklahoma City passed away Friday, June 24, 2016.  She was born July 27, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas to John Gordon Knight and Lula May (Willis) Knight. 

She grew up in Amarillo, Texas, graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Bethany Nazarene College. She married Margil F. Elder in 1967, and worked many years in child care. She was a lifelong member of The Church of the Nazarene and served at Norman Community and Trinity in recent years. She loved music and singing in the choir, which she continued to enjoy until only a few months ago. She will be remembered by her family and many dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Margil.

Donna Lynn Elder is survived by her son Margil "Scott" Elder (Melissa) and daughter Melanie Dawn Kinnamon (Bill), her sister Margaret Sue Lane and her grandchildren Amanda Kinnamon, Andrew Kinnamon, Ashlyn Kinnamon, Kaelyn Kinnamon, Ezra Elder and Eden Elder. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. 

 Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene 7301 S. Walker Ave. OKC, OK 73139, with an entombment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. 

In memory of Donna Lynn Elder, memorials may be made to Nazarene Missions International.
