Faye Louise (Allen) Elam, of Ochelata, OK, passed away peacefully on 5/21/2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on July 24, 1934 in Ochelata, OK, she was the cherished daughter of John and Hazel Allen. She was raised in Ochelata, OK, where she attended Ochelata High School, graduating in 1950, and often spoke fondly of her school days, lifelong friendships, and memories of growing up in her beloved hometown.
On April 25, 1953, she married the love of her life, Clifford “Bud” Elam, beginning a beautiful partnership. Together they built their home in Tulsa, Skiatook and then Owasso, OK. Their marriage was a lasting example of commitment and grace, and through the years they created a family legacy that will continue for generations.
From this loving union came their cherished children: Dennis Lee Elam and Rickey Lee Elam. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her family, offering constant support, wisdom, comfort, and encouragement throughout their lives. Nothing brought her greater pride than watching her children grow and build families of their own.
Her grandchildren were among her greatest joys and brightest blessings. She treasured every moment spent with them — from family gatherings and holiday meals to sporting events and simple everyday memories that became lifelong treasures.
She was known by all who loved her as an extraordinary cook, gifted gardener, and someone who could accomplish nearly anything with care and determination. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and togetherness. Family gatherings around her table became treasured traditions, where laughter was shared freely and everyone left feeling loved and cared for. Through her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support, she shaped generations and created a legacy that will continue long after her passing.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Kelli) Elam, Rick (Cathy) Elam, grandchildren, Terah Elam, Vanessa (Jake) Remington, Casey (Farol) Elam,Jamie (Thurman) Lynch, Corey (Casey) Elam, and Jesse Elam. Great-Grandchildren, Dakota (Kiley) Remington, Dravian (Katie) Remington, Drimmix Remington, Athena Remington, Seth Elam, Ashtyn Lynch, Gehrig Lynch, Chayten Elam, Bryan Elam, and Channing Elam. Great-great grandchildren, Kash Remington, Aphelia Remington, and Emerson Remington . Sister, Judy Jimison, sister-in-law, Dixie Allen and brother-in-law John Elam. Many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her beloved four-legged companion, Missy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford “Bud” Lee Elam , parents John and Hazel Allen, brother Benne Allen, sister Ruby Smith, and niece Tammy Ashworth.
