David Arthur Elam

A memorial service for David Arthur Elam, 59, of Norman, formerly of Cherokee, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, Cherokee. Arrangements are by Primrose Funeral Service, Norman.

He was born Sept. 12, 1946, in Cherokee to Aubra and Alice Broce Elam and died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at Cedar Creek Nursing Home, Norman.

He attended Cherokee schools, graduating from Cherokee High School in 1966. He worked at various odd jobs in Cherokee and Enid in his younger years. He later lived in nursing homes in Cherokee, Helena, Enid and Norman.

Surviving are one brother, Alvin Elam of Norman.

He was preceded in death by his parents
