George Dean Eidson, Jr., 62, of Newkirk, OK, left this life on December 17, 2022. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74604.
George was born on December 18, 1959, in Nashville, TN, to George D., Sr. and Janice (Russell) Eidson. After high school, George joined the US Marine Corps. He loved hunting and his favorite pass-time was helping Darrel Cummings on the farm. George also loved to watch Hannah Guinn at all of her performances and giving lots of hugs to his grandchildren. They all were papa's precious angels.
George is survived by: his wife, Tammy, of the home; sons, Jacob Eidson of Eagleville, TN; Monroe "Rooster" Stevens and his wife, Amy, of Dewey, OK; daughters, Afton Schultz and her husband, Clayton, of Ponca City, OK; Sammy Jo Epperson and her husband, Jason, of Dewey, OK; grandchildren, Hannah Guinn of Ponca City, Trenton and Kevin Crain of Dewey, OK; Liam Epperson of Dewey, OK, Ashlyn, Bella, Jayden, Addalyn, Jackson and Roy, all of Dewey, OK; brother, Craig Eidson and his wife, Sandra, of TN; sister, Julie Eidson of Portland, TN; , and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
George was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Vivian Stevens; his parents and a brother, Jeremy Eidson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
