Gene Enos Eggleston

February 7, 1921 ~ April 16, 2007

Gene Enos Eggleston, age 86, of Zephyr died Monday morning at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with burial with full military rites to follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 7-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born February 7, 1921 in Doyle, Oklahoma. He had lived in Zephyr since 2002 moving from Bowie. He retired from the U.S. Air Force serving in W.W. II and was a former employee of General Dynamics and a former Deputy Sheriff with Tarrant County.

Survived by a daughter, Bonnie Humphries of Zephyr; a brother, Lee Eggleston of Hurst; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, seven sisters, three brothers, and a great-grandaughter.
