John Harold Edwards

John Harold Edwards
May 11, 1936 ~ January 10, 2020

John Harold Edwards went home to be with the Lord January 10, 2020. John was born May 11, 1936, in Bison, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Pioneer High School and continued to seminary school at Oral Roberts University. Preaching for Christian Union churches and teen ministry were his greatest passions in life.

John was owner and supervisor of many oilfield construction sites, retiring from Major County, Oklahoma. He continued his ministry in Haleyville, Alabama, for another 10 years.

He will be very missed by many family and friends and church congregations.

Surviving are his wife, Sonia, of Haleyville, Alabama; sisters, Thelma Webber and Mary Lou Farrar; thiree children, David and wife Sharon of Azel, Texas, Steve and Lori of Waukomis, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jason, Hannah and Ethan.

He was proceeded in death by parents John T. and Ruth Edwards; son John L. Edwards; and grandchild Haylee Edwards.

A graveside service will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to Christian Union youth ministry.
