Teresa Lea Eckert, 61, of Braman, OK, left this life on March 29, 2023, in Blackwell, OK. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 7, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Teresa was born on December 6, 1961, in San Antonio, TX, to Willis Lee and Velma Jean (Edwards) McGugan. She moved to Ponca City during her teenage years, graduating from Po Hi in 1980. After high school, she attended Northern Oklahoma College. She raised her children in Blackwell and later worked in billing for Miller EMS. She married Randy Eckert in 2004, and started traveling all over the US in his semi truck, helping him haul various items and keeping him awake while he drove. They moved to Rockport, TX and spent many years there on the beach, living on “island time”.
She loved watching her grandkids play the sports they loved, traveling all over Oklahoma as much as she could. She coached her daughters Softball and Soccer teams and even coached her sons Baseball team. She loved camping, Texas, and her dog Bandit (Bandido). After moving back to Oklahoma, they settled in Braman, OK where she was a member of the Braman Chamber of Commerce and planned many Christmas Parades. Teresa loved arts and crafts and embroidery. She enjoyed sewing and photography and was an animal collector, bringing home many stray animals.
Teresa is survived by: her husband, Randy of the home; daughters Dani Nall and husband Mike Nall, of Newkirk, OK and Lacy Shane of Tulsa, OK; son Matt Lively of Blackwell, OK; step daughters, Alisha Weant and Brandon Weant, Micah Maloney and husband Stedman Maloney, and Mackenzie Eckert; 19 grandchildren with 1 on the way; 2 great grandchildren on the way; sisters in law, Karen Hightower, Marsha Powell and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Butch Adams, James Burnett, RC Carver, Robbie Carver, Shawn Kelly, Tommia Hasenfratz, and Debi Bowen.
