He married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Velma Faye Heffley on October 21, 1961. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in 2024.
They had two sons – Troy Lee (05-06-1964) and Todd Lee (10-07-1967) who have always been the center of Johnny and Velma’s world.
Those who knew Johnny describe him as a good man with a generous heart who would do anything for you. He was a good teacher and listener. He worked hard to provide for his family as an auto painter. He was well known for his excellent skills in the Tulsa area until he retired.
