Helen Maxine (Furr) Thompson Eaves, age 83, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, November 5, 1941, to Cecil Bruce and Eura Vivian (Maxwell) Furr, at Atoka, OK. Maxine passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at her daughter's home in Stringtown, OK. She attended Stringtown High School and graduated with the class of 1959 and then went on to attend college.
Maxine was a postmaster in Stringtown for 37 years.
She married Roy Loss Thompson who preceded her in death.
Maxine was a member of Stringtown First Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, playing piano, gardening (was a master of growing flowers), camping and traveling. Maxine loved spending time with her family.
Maxine is survived by her children, Eddie Thompson and wife Penny of Stringtown, OK, Terri Lynn Mayo and husband Ernest of Stringtown, OK, Lisa Bagherpour and husband Farhad of Sewell, NJ; grandchildren, Roy Gene McIninch of Atoka, OK, Cima Rahm and husband Dave of Sewell, NJ, David Bagherpour and wife Lindsay of Sewell, NJ, Draven Thompson of Stringtown, OK; great granddaughter, Noelle Bagherpour of Sewell, NJ; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Eura Furr;
husband, Roy Loss Thompson; brother, Bruce Furr.
