Leona Lenora Pyeatt Eaton, age 51, a former resident of Cheyenne, passed away on July 26, 1988 in Lodi, California, following a brief illness.
She was born and raised in Leedey, Oklahoma and graduated from high school there.
She was married to Jackie J. Eaton at Cheyenne. Following their marriage in 1956, they moved to Lodi, California.
She had been employed for the past 21 years for Tri-Valley Growers as a laboratory attendant.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jackie J. Eaton of Stockton, California; two sons, Bradley Eaton of Lodi, California; and Randy Eaton of Lodi, California; three sisters, Virgie Cornett of Higgins, Texas; Jean Touchstone of Leedey, Oklahoma; and Hazel Lilies of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and one brother, Henry Pyeatt of Sweetwater, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by one son, Gary Eaton; and one brother, Johnnie Lee Pyeatt.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 29, 1988, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi, California, with Rev. James C. Pack of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Concord, California, officiating.
Committal was at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, California.
