Jack Lloyd Eaton, 82, of Stillwater, Okla., died on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, in Edmond, Okla.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at New Beginnings Alliance Church, formerly Highland Park Freewill Baptist Church at 1406 E. 6th Street in Stillwater, Okla., with Dr. Norman Richmond officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Sperry, Okla., to John Lloyd Eaton and Veral Warford Eaton. He married Kathryn D. George on Feb. 23, 1954, in Clayton, N.M..

He graduated from Wetumka High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army.

He was a sergeant first class in World War II and was stationed in Germany. While in the Army he received a medal for good conduct. After his discharge from the Army he worked as a delivery man and owned and operated a restaurant and vending company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his loving family, wife Kathryn of the home, one son, James O. Eaton of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Debra K. Eliot and her husband, Lee, of Edmond, Okla.; four grandsons, Jason Eliot and wife Traci of Edmond, Okla., Darin J. Eliot and wife Miekel of Tallahassee, Fla., Colin Eliot and wife Katie of St. Louis, Mo., Tim McMiller and wife Julie of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one granddaughter, Brynn Allen and husband Jared of Boca Raton, Fla., one brother, Tommy Eaton and wife Keithie of Newalla, Okla., eight great-grandchildren Josh, Abby, Dawson Jack, Drue, Page and Graham Eliot, Creighton Allen and Kingston McMiller.
