James David Easter passed away on October 9, 2006, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 24, 1945 in Ralls, Texas to James Thomas Easter and Mary Arnell [Parker] Easter.
He grew up as a farm boy; in fact he was the ONLY boy growing up with four sisters. He was a hard working and loyal person who owned several of his own businesses and worked for others for several years.
He was married to Patricia Leona Knox for almost 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially the grandkids. His kids and grandkids will always remember his "candy jar" that he had by his chair.
Fishing and hunting was a true love and the stories got bigger each time he told them. Friends and family will remember his laughter, practical jokes, sincere love, strong hand shake, and his word of honor.
He was preceded in death by his father James Thomas Easter.
He is survived by his daughters, Kristine Easter and Laurie Westra, both from Newcastle, OK; mother Mary Arnell Easter of Paden, OK; sisters, Linda Herrell and husband Danny of Techumseh, OK; Nona Roach and husband Wayne of Avant, OK; Nina Walker of Avant, OK; Sheryl Cox and husband Raymond of Paden, OK; four grandchildren, Jamie Westra, Jonathan Davidson, Taler & Alexis Cambell; one great grandchild, Reigan Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.
Dad you will be dearly missed! You were an awesome father and my best friend!
Services to be held at Midway Baptist Church, Highway 8, Cyril, OK 73029 on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.
