James Earl Eastep "Papa" age 81 of Cartwright, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 surrounded by his family. James was born September 5th, 1938 to Pete and Pauline Eastep in Randolph, Texas.
James is survived by his sister Freda and husband Rodney Deason of Bonham, Texas; The mother of his five children Eva Mayo of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Children: Tim Eastep of Gilbert, Arizona; Tommy and wife Vanessa Eastep of Bells, Texas; Terry Eastep of Cartwright, Oklahoma; Mary and husband Gus Gilstrap of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Dawn and husband Randy Wilson of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Many beloved Grandkids, Great Grand and even Great great. James was a loving father and the absolute BEST Grandfather in the world.
He is preceded in death by his Wife Barbara Eastep, Brother Check Eastep, and Mother and Father Pete and Pauline. James was a Jack of all trades and wore many hats in his lifetime. The one his family is most proud of was his service in the United States Army.
Services to celebrate the life of James Earl Eastep "Papa" will be held on Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Cunningham funeral home in Colbert.
