Scot Ira Earp

Scot Ira Earp
October 17, 1981 ~ August 26, 2025

Scot Ira Earp was born on October 17, 1981 in Pryor, Oklahoma to David and Iris (Coger) Earp. Scot was a lifetime resident of Mayes County. He attended school at Locust Grove and Salina, and graduated from William Bradford Christian School in 2000. After high school he attended trade school for electrical engineering. On May 3rd, 2007 Scot married Lacey Willyard in Pryor. He went to work for Cabin Diesel in Big Cabin, Oklahoma and then Cummins Diesel before opening up his own shop in 2013.

Scot was always up to something, and it was usually ornery. You knew he loved you, if he was giving you a hard time. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and shooting. He also enjoyed playing poker and pool with his friends. Above all, he loved being a dad and strived to be the best influence he could be on those around him. Scot was a special guy and he will be greatly missed.

Scot is survived by his wife, Lacey, of the home; their children Jodey and Wyatt; a daughter, Jamie (from a previous marriage); his sister, Sara Van Horn and her husband, Steve of Locust Grove; brother-in-law, Matthew Davis and his wife, Brittany; nephews, Sean Earp and his wife, Michalea, and Nicolas Van Horn; nieces, Sophie Van Horn, Natalie Van Horn and Kenzie Davis; great niece, Samilynn Earp and great nephew, Hudson Earp and many friends who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Paul Earp; his mother, Iris Faye Earp and his brother, Sean David Earp.

Services for Scot Ira Earp will be on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Exciting Southeast Baptist Church in Pryor. Viewing and visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
