The Memorial service celebrating the life of Scott "Scotty" Dye, 39, of Ames will be held on 4:00 P.M. Thursday July 26, 2018 in the Ames Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Laramore officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Scott Dye was born to Cheryl Corrigan August 26, 1978 in Thornton Colorado. He was raised in Westminster CO. until the age of four. He moved with his family to El Cajon CA. In 1993 he moved back to Westminster CO. where he met Mary and together they had two sons, Devin and Zachary.
In 2013, he moved with his family to Ames OK. where he worked in residential landscaping. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was an artist and enjoyed drawing and coloring, and watching movies and video games.
He is survived by his two sons Devin and Zachary; Mother of the home; Sisters Cammie Kitzman and husband Chris and Mellissa Hershberger.
He is preceded in death by his brother Ben Hershberger and his Maternal Grand Parents. Memorials may be made in his name to the ASPCA, of Enid with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian over the funds.
