Bobbie Ruth Grussendorf was born to Bruno and Grace Grussendorf on January 25, 1934, in Childress County, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Grace Grussendorf; husband Clifford Duty; one daughter Karen Duty-Campbell; a grandson John David Campbell; and her siblings Marie, Betty, Rita, and Bill.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen Duty and his wife, Patricia, and Michael Duty and wife, Sandy; one daughter Malinda Duty-Roach and her husband, Steve; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many more loving family members and friends.
Bobbie and Clifford married shortly after her high school graduation and were married for 55 years.
Bobbie worked hard and steadily cared for her family. She loved gardening and fed the family well from the fruits of her labor. She and Clifford planted many trees on their property and enjoyed their beauty.
She enjoyed sewing and was a busy mom with twin sons that, I’m sure, found plenty of mischief to get into along with their cousin, Billy Pearson.
Karen, as the oldest sister, was a big help, caring for Malinda and watching after the twin boys, who thoroughly enjoyed terrorizing their two sisters!
She was a proud German, and loved studying her German ancestry, and shared that often, with her family.
She was strong woman with very strong opinions.
Bobbie lived a long life, almost 90 years, and then fell asleep peacefully, December 4th, 2023.
