Doris was born June 22, 1922, in Enid, OK, to Victor and Mildred Dillon and passed away at her home early Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the age of 99.
Doris graduated from Enid High School in 1940 and attended Oklahoma A&M College for two years and studied Business Administration where she was also recognized for her beauty before marrying George Durham on September 18, 1943.
Doris worked at the U.S. Post Office in Enid throughout World War II, at wartime men's wages, at the General Delivery window and as the assistant secretary to the Postmaster before beginning her 30 year career with Phillips 66 Petroleum within the legal division. Following her retirement, she assisted at the First Presbyterian Church office in Bartlesville for many years.
Doris was a lover of the arts, enjoying dance, Symphony Orchestra and performances at the Bartlesville Theatre.
Doris is survived by her sister Anne L. Ott and cousin Martha Lambert. She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Durham, parents Victor and Mildred Dillon and brother Jack Dillon.
