Jerry D. Duran
June 4, 1956 ~ June 7, 2018 (Age 62)

Jerry D. Duran, of Duncan, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the age of 62. He was born on June 4, 1956, in Austin, Texas, to Gabrial Jordan and Freda Duran.

A memorial service will be held at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Jerry attended school in Temple and graduated from Waurika High School in 1974. He married Vanessa Anne Thomas on August 20, 1993, in Brenham, Texas.

He started working for All-Star Ford in the 1980's. He later moved to College Station Ford and then to Brenham Ford. He left the car dealerships to become a ranch foreman in Round Top, Texas, where he worked for five years. He went to work for Allied Waste as a welder in 1997. He worked for Allied until 2013 when he moved his family to Duncan to retire. He loved to fish and hunt. 

Jerry is survived by his wife, Vanessa; children, Ryan Duran of Comanche, Jerry Jordan "JJ" Duran of Lexington, Lillie Duran of Duncan, Brian Pack of Georgia, and Kevin Pack of Edmond; brothers, Larry Duran and Gabrial Duran; and sisters, Lucy Duran, Lepe Duran, Sally Duran,and Yolanda Duran. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kika Ward, and three brothers.
