Jean L. Dunn, 88, of Sweetwater, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born on November 25, 1930, in Laverne, OK, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Scott) Schuyler. She married Vernon Dunn on August 5, 1947, in Enid, OK, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2013.
Jean was a homemaker. She loved working in her flower garden and playing Scrabble.
She is survived by her 4 children, Terry (Beverly) Dunn of Denison, TX, Peggy (Charlie) Hermann of Broken Arrow, OK, Kathy (Nancy) Dunn of Springfield, and Patrick (Sandy) Dunn of Sweetwater, IL; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson Robbie Metz; two nephews, Michael Walker and Randy Dunn; and one niece Sherry Walker.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Koschmann officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
