Melinda Gail Dunlap, 58, of Boynton, Oklahoma left this earth on April 8, 2023. Melinda was born November 9, 1964 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Morris High School where she was a passionate basketball player. She continued her education gaining her B.S. in criminal justice paralegal, plus minors in science and business from Northeastern State University in 1987 and her juris doctorate from Tulsa University College of Law in 1990. Melinda had her own law practice in Okmulgee for most of her career.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred D. Dunlap; and her mother, Shirley Ann Dunlap.
Melinda is survived by her brother, Duane Dunlap and his wife Brenda of Okmulgee, OK; two sisters, Pam Dunlap and Cindy Bolich, both of Boynton, OK. She was blessed with 5 nephews; 9 great-nephews; and 6 great-nieces.
Melinda was a private person, but had a huge heart and always put others before herself. She loved her dogs and cats, gardening, and cookouts with her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed.
The family will greet friends from 7-8PM, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Services for Melinda will be at 2PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary McKeen officiating.
