Jack Dungan was born March 12, 1947 in Sayre, Oklahoma to John and Gracie Dungan. He passed away January 7, 2018 at his home in Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 26 days.
Jack grew up on the family farm in the Doxey community. He attended school at Doxey through the 8th grade when he began school at Sayre where he graduated in 1965. After graduation he furthered his education at Sayre Junior College and also Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Jack was married to Sadie Marie Dodson and to this union two children were born: Lori Dawn and Amy Marie. During this time he owned his own Borden milk distributorship and made deliveries all over the western Oklahoma area until the early 80's. In 1981 Jack began his own oil field service company Dungan Methanol Service. On August 10, 1985 Jack was married to Bonnie Ally in Sayre, Oklahoma and together they continued to make Sayre their home. Jack and Bonnie added Christopher James Dungan to the family in that same year. Jack and Bonnie raised 5 children and in the mid 90's Jack acquired the store on south 4th street that became known as "Jack's". Jack enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and spending time drinking coffee with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles that meant a great deal to him.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; 5 children, Lori Dungan, Fayetteville, AR, Amy Mohammed and husband, Amin, Fayetteville, AR, Eric Ally and wife, Shayla Frisco, TX, Tamara Ally, Benbrook, TX and Christopher Dungan, Elk City, OK; 10 grandchildren, Kaci, Chelsea, Luke, Deandria, Josh, Luke, Jadyn, Lexi, Addyson and Rozlyn; 1 great granddaughter on the way, Gracie; 3 brothers and 1 sister, Bob Dungan, Elk City, OK, John Dungan and wife, Carolann, Osteen, FL, Elmo Dungan and wife, Loa, Arlington, TX and Patty Hudson and husband, Doyle, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 aunts, Jacqueline Lewis, Blair, OK and NaDean Williams, Thornton, CO., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Friends of Christian Education 2001 South Randall Road Elk City, OK 73644.
