Wanda Louise (Scott) Duncan

July 27, 1925 ~ June 16, 2007

Wanda Louise Scott Duncan was born July 27th, 1925 in Minco, OK, to Fred and Pearl Scott, and passed away on June 16th, 2007 in Midwest City, OK.

She married Robert L. Duncan, in Oklahoma City, on April 14, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1999 after 49 years of marriage.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Christopher Scott Duncan, a brother, Virgil Scott of Minco, two Sisters, Velma Mote of Norman, and Margurite Hill of Tuttle.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Long of Del City; a granddaughter, Cynthia Long of Del City; two grandsons, Stephen Long of Tuttle; and Cedrick Semmions of Del City, eight great grandchildren, Jordan Ashley Long, Johnathan Long-Mason of Del City; Stephen Long, Jr., Christopher Long, Stephanie Long, and Dacoda Long of Tuttle; and Ashley and Logan Tyler Duncan Agar of Harrah; two nieces, Freddie Robertson and Carmen Coronado, and many other family and friends, including Bobbie Foreman of Norman.

Wanda graduated high school in Minco, OK and she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree at Chapman College in Orange County, CA in 1970. She graduated Oklahoma University with a masters of Arts in 1973, and went on to get a Doctorate of Philosophy in 1976.

Wanda and Robert were a very accomplished writing and film making team; their body of works include documentary films, television series and twenty-one books published in seven countries. Television scripts include Riverboat, Bonanza, Have Gun Will Travel, Lost in Space, and seventeen other series.

Their later years were spent in Norman, OK and traveling all over the world.

Wanda loved to travel, play bridge, go to museums, movies and theater. She lived a wonderful and long life and she will be missed by her family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Guardian Norman Chapel of Remembrance, Norman, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bethany Children's Home.
