Charlene Duncan, 82 year old Mooreland resident, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 in Mooreland. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Todd Finley officiating.
Charlene Addie (Anderson) Duncan was born on September 2, 1939 in Disney, Oklahoma to Charles Marshall and Lou Alice (McFarland) Anderson. Charlie as she was known by her family and friends, grew up in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and attended Fort Gibson Schools. She attended Muskogee Cosmetology School and graduated in 1959. She was united in marriage to Tommy Duncan on August 8, 1956 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and they were blessed with two children, Lou and Lisa.
Charlie lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Ft. Benning, Georgia, Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, before moving to Mooreland. She loved being with people and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Charlie was always cutting up and laughing with people. She enjoyed drawing, reading, playing cards, and Bingo.
She is survived by her daughters, Lou Sells of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Lisa Elsey of Mooreland, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Zachariah Sells and fiance Maegan Cantrell of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Kaleb Sells of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, TJ Elsey and wife Carli of Mooreland, Jessica Clark and husband Casey of Mooreland, Mike Elsey and wife Sierra of Mooreland; seven great grandchildren: Sidney and Corbin Sells, Madison Willis, Gabriel Sells, Lucas Elsey, Audra Elsey, and Jessica Thomason; two great great grandchildren and one more on the way other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jerry Don Anderson and Johnny Earl Anderson, and one sister, Grace Marie Earp.
