July 24, 1931 ~ April 3, 2023

Maryl J. Dumbauld, of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away Monday night, April 3, 2023, at her home. She was 91.

Born in Hunter, Oklahoma, July 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lena Weidmann Schultz.

A Hunter High School graduate, she moved to Ohio in 1971 when her late husband Ed was transferred to Quaker State in Newell, W.VA. She was Protestant by faith and loved to cook for her family and friends. She also loved to spend time on the golf course, especially with her husband, where she made two hole-in-one shots. Above all things in life, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward "Ed" Dumbauld. The couple married May 24, 1952. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Felix and Doris Kent, and three brothers, Edward, Kenny and Dean Schultz.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Cheryl Morehead and her husband, Bob, of Wellsville, Brenda Willison and her husband, Mike, of Centerburg, Ohio, and Dr. Mark Dumbauld and his wife, Lana, of East Palestine, Ohio. There are nine grandchildren: Christina Cusick (Doug), Jennifer Graff (Ron), Courtney Wilkinson (Nate), Kelcie Morehead (Rusty), Heather Smith (Matt), Cary Wasko (Frank), Michael Willison (Brandy), Alec Dumbauld and Thomas Dumbauld, and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition, she is survived by three sisters, Maxine Shaffer of Whitewater, Kansas, Jean West of Spearman, Texas, and Carol Schultz of Enid, Oklahoma, and a brother, Jerry Schultz of Huntsville, Texas.

Rev. Mark Blakeley will conduct a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8th, at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.

Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for the wonderful care they provided, as well as her loving neighbors who always looked out for her, especially Rich and Linda.
