Carol Jean (Lute) Duke

Carol Jean (Lute) Duke
September 25, 1945 ~ July 04, 2017

Carol Jean Duke was released from her pain on July 4th, 2017. She fought a courageous battle but finally was called home. Her suffering is over now and she's out working in her yard again. She was born September 25, 1945 in Guthrie, OK, to Evert and Goldie (Porter) Lute.

She was a long time hair stylist in Guthrie for over 50 years. She sincerely cared for all her "ladies" and worked until she was unable to. She made many lasting friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Brett Martin; brother, Ronnie Lute; along with nieces and nephews; grandchildren and a long list of beloved friends.

Carol Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Evert and Goldie (Porter) Lute; sons, Buddy Martin and Matt Reynolds; and brothers, Elden, Johnny and Mike Lute.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 14, 2017 at First Christian Church with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

There will be no visitation.
