Kenneth Duffy

Kenneth Duffy
July 3, 1948 ~ October 30, 2020

Kenneth Duffy, 72, of Marietta, passed away with family by his side on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Tishomingo. No services are planned at this time.

Kenneth was born July 3, 1948 in Newark, New Jersey. At the age of 15, he ventured out into the world and began traveling with a circus. He later worked for a large textile manufacturing company in Newark. Kenneth was very proud of the fact that he had celebrated 39 years of sobriety and credited the people he met on the shore near the Bellmore Clubhouse for his success. In 2007, Kenneth moved to Marietta to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. While in Oklahoma, Kenneth worked in the maintenance department at the Walmart Supercenter in Ardmore.

Kenneth was a huge sports fan and absolutely loved baseball and the New York Yankees. He also liked watching the Washington Redskins (a.k.a. The Washington Football Team). Kenneth also had a deep-seated love for racing. He was a big fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt. He also spent countless hours building and racing cars with his brother-in-law. Kenneth loved his “fur babies” and was known to get great satisfaction from indulging in Twinkies. Many things brought Kenneth joy, but perhaps his greatest joy was spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Duffy, and close friend, John Belifore.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Harris and husband Eric of Marietta; five grandchildren, Dylan Perryman, Logan Perryman, James Andrew Stafford, Terry Harris, and Cole Harris; and a special friend, Ramona Grover of New Jersey.
