ENID, OK - Memorial service for Dale S. Duffy, 61, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Dale�s request was to be cremated.
Dale was born Feb. 7, 1953, in Enid to Robert and Eloise Fiegel Duffy and passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Dale was raised in Enid, where he attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1971. He took welding classes at Autry Vo-Tech.
Dale married Jan Saeger on May 25, 1990, in Oklahoma City.
Dale worked as a welder/fabricator in the oil field, on bridges, and his love was building NASCAR trucks and dirt track cars. He was a perfectionist with his welding.
Dale is survived by his wife, Jan of the home; son, Jim Simpson and wife Lauren of Owasso; two granddaughters, Addison and Mia; father, Bob Duffy; two sisters, Carol and husband Marvin Earhart and Cindy and husband Ron Krey, all of Enid; brothers, David and wife Connie Duffy of Enid, Dennis and wife Kathy Duffy of Brownwood, Texas, and Duane and wife Pam Duffy of Kingwood, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise (Dolly).
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
