Billie Dove Duffy was born January 12, 1934, to Walter Jack and Zalpha Allen Brinckmeyer on the family farm southwest of Loyal, Oklahoma.
After graduating from high school in Loyal, she married Clifford Floyd Duffy on Sept. 2, 1951, at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church.
The newly married couple was stationed at Ft. Hunter Liggett in Monterey County, California, for three years. That was where their first son was born. Following his tour of duty, the couple moved back to the original Duffy homestead northeast of Loyal. Soon after returning, three new farmhands "two sons and one daughter" were added to the harvest crew.
Not only did Billie work side-by-side with Clifford on the farm, she served the Lord faithfully in the duties he called her to do, such as crocheting prayer blankets and sending out greeting cards of all kinds.
She is survived by three sons, Frederick and wife Susan of Okeene,
Cliffton and wife Lori of Loyal, Clinton and wife Diane of Dover, one
daughter Wilma Duffy of Gunnison Colorado; 20 grandchildren, 22
great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. One brother Jack and
Guyla Brinckmeyer of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Three sisters-in-law, Joan
Brinckmeyer of Presho, South Dakota; Barbara Wilczek of Enid, Oklahoma; Lea
Etta Duffy of Denton, Texas.
One brother-in-law Robert Duffy of Enid,
Oklahoma. Special family friends Paul and Molly Wehrenberg and two sons,
Aaron and Clifford Casey, of Edmond, Oklahoma. Also, numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by Clifford, her husband of 60 years, her parents and two brothers, George Autry and Allen Brinckmeyer, six brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
