Funeral services for Kathy Marlene Duerden, 62, Enid resident, will be held at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor J.R. Addison, officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Kathy was born on December 16, 1958 in Hawthorne, California, the daughter of Frank Andrew Rust and Maxine Stanley Rust, and passed away suddenly on October 9, 2021 in Gallup, New Mexico. She was raised in Nescatunga, Oklahoma and Baldwin Park, California. Kathy worked in a few nursing homes in California as a CNA. In Enid, she worked in home health. Kathy married Darryl Duerden in Covina, California on June 4, 1983. They made their home in Enid. Kathy enjoyed raising her grandchildren, riding her motorcycle, camping, collecting elephant’s and traveling. Her best accomplishment was making people happy.
Survivors include her husband, Darryl of the residence; daughters, Brandi and husband Steve Spears of Oklahoma City, Maxine and husband Dustin Janes of Enid; sons, Kirk Duerden and Nikki Wadkins of Enid, John and wife Krista Sutton of Garber, Scott Duerden and Larissa Nixon of Enid. 19 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Rust of California, Mike and wife Jackie Rust of California, Keith and wife Mary Rust of California, Steve and wife Carol Rust of Enid. Mother in law, Ann Winjters; sister-in-law, Susan Wilson.
Kathy was preceded in passing by her parents, one grandson Lane.
