Joe Dudley, 68, of Covington, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at his home. He was born February 10, 1952, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Patrick W. Dudley, M.D., and Laurette Margaret Coté Dudley.
Joe attended Oklahoma Military Academy in 1967/68 and graduated from Enid High School Class of 1970. He attended Oklahoma State University graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He paid his way through college working at Hideaway Pizza in Stillwater and was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity.
Joe was a friend to all and loved by everyone. He was an athlete at Enid High School, where he was on both the swim and cross country teams.
Joe married the love of his life, Sherry Story, in 1980 in Oklahoma City. He worked most of his career for the United States Food and Drug Administration in Georgia.
In addition to this wife Sherry, he is survived by sisters Alberta Rose Jones of Oklahoma and Patricia Gail Haman of California. He is predeceased by his uncle Dr. Thomas F.W. Dudley, DDS, and is survived by his Aunt Kay Evelyn Dudley; Cousins Stephen Dudley, Andria Whaley of Edmond, Brittanie Harner of Las Vegas; and sister-in-law Karen Tipton of Anderson, Texas.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of J.C. Harwell & Sons Funeral Home, Covington, Georgia.
