Services for Lynn D. Driskell, age 72 years, of Enid, are 10:00 am, Monday, December 23, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lynn was born April 11, 1947 in Enid to Ferrell and Opal (Brakhage) Driskell, and passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Ok.
Lynn attended Carrier Schools, graduating in 1965. He entered the US Marines in 1968 serving his country during the Vietnam war where he received two Purple Hearts and one Bronze Star as a Corporal with India Co, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines. He married Carol Rodgers on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1978 in Lovington, New Mexico. He worked for Baker-Hughes as a regional manager working in several states, eventually settling in Enid in 1993. Lynn was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to share his stories with everyone. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferrell and Opal Driskell; two sisters, Vonda Rains and Connie Adkins; brother Dale Driskell; and step-mother, Lova Driskell.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Driskell, of the home in Enid; four children, Terry Driskell of Pawnee, OK; Christy Rundle and husband Rod, of Enid; Donny Burdick and wife Elva, of Perry, OK; Angie Nagel and husband Deven, of Enid; thirteen grandchildren, Damian, Bailey, Jace, and Alexis Burdick; Bodey, Kalli "Oot-an-ally", and Hannah "Kuka-Chan" Rundle; Maci, Dustin "Dusty Boy", Dawson "Dawsy Rat", and David "Dae Dae" Nagel, Zachary and Jessica Driskell; and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved chihuahua's Jazzy and Lizzy.
