A gathering for friends and family to celebrate the life of Gary Driskell, 64, Lacey, is 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.

Gary was born in Okeene, and moved to Enid before his 4th birthday. He graduated from Enid High School, and attended Diesel Mechanics at Okmulgee Tech. He made his home in the Lacey area, where he farmed and raised cattle. Gary was a man of many talents and trades. He owned and operated a heavy equipment repair garage and auto repair center in both Enid and Hennessey. He worked many years in the oilfield, as a field operator for Chesapeake Energy.

Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was known for his noodling expertise. The loves of his life were his children, Gina Denten and Chad Driskell.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Gina and her husband, Lee, of Cortez, Colo.; son, Chad, of Hennessey; his mother, Fay Driskell, of Enid; sister-in-law, Kathy Driskell; and nephew, Sage Driskell and wife, Plum of Plano, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale; and brother, Ron.
