Margaret (Morgan) Driggs

Margaret (Morgan) Driggs
August 29, 1934 ~ April 15, 2008

Margaret Driggs, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at her home at the age of 73 years.

The daughter of the late Ernest "Buck" Morgan and Verna Meisenhelter Morgan, Margaret was born on August 29, 1934 in Iowa, LA, and received her education in several different cities, graduating from Cushing High School.

She was united in marriage to Richard Driggs on August 29, 1953 in Cushing and to this union two daughters, Lori and Cindy were born.

The couple had worked in retail management for several years together prior to owning and operating the Country Kitchen Restaurant here in Cushing.

Margaret enjoyed her family first and foremost, and was well known for her vacation planning and her cooking.

Survivors include her husband Richard of the home; two daughters, Lori Toland and her husband Gary; and Cindy Clark, all of Cushing; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Clark, Devon Toland and Colby Toland; one great-granddaughter, Alivia Snow, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10 A.M. in the First Christian Church with Reverend John Owens with Sojourn Care Hospice, officiating.
