Mary Drake passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. - noon Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Disciples Christian Church with Pastor Scott Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Mary Marie Drake was born southwest of Binger, OK on a cold snowy night on January 9, 1930 the daughter of Arther and Ora Irene (Elliott) Bearden. Mary graduated from Binger High School in 1948. She continued her education at Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, OK where she met Albert Eugene Drake and married on February 13, 1949 at the Presbyterian Church in Stillwater. Mary was a homemaker while Al worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. and have called Bartlesville home since 1951. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, genealogy, and traveling. Mary was a charter member of Disciples Christian Church.
Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years, Albert E. "Al" Drake Sr. One son, Albert E. "Gene" Drake Jr. and fianc� Cindy of Tulsa, Debra Marie Bair and husband, Lon of Stillwater and brother, William Vernon Bearden and wife Lila of Morris, OK. Mary was blessed with seven grandchildren: Cory Drake and wife Kimberly, Jason Drake and wife Cassie, Eric Drake, Kara Elliott and husband Chris, Kristen Roberson, Alison Marie Coatney, Wade Elliott Bair and wife Holly. Great grandchildren include: Taryn, Chanan, Bryton, and Denver Drake, Dax and Mia Roberson, Mason and Collin Coatney, Jake and Lauren Bair, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
