Brenda (Teafatiller) Drake

September 6, 1952 ~ November 1, 2023

Brenda Drake, age 71, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on November 1, 2023 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

She was born September 6, 1952, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Leo and Georgia Teafatiller.

Brenda was raised in the Shawnee/Tecumseh area.

She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1970.

Brenda worked for many years at Sunset Estates before working at Shawnee News Star until her retirement in 1998.

She was a member of the 1st Assembly of God in Tecumseh. Brenda was very active and involved with the church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; they were the focal point of her life.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil “Shorty” Drake; parents, Leo and Georgia Teafatiller; brother, George Teafatiller; and sister, Toni Eddings.

Survivors include her daughters, Christina Brock of Tecumseh, OK and Jodi Brock of Shawnee, OK; grandsons, Drake Plunkett and wife Jonelle of Meeker, OK and Gunnar Enochs; great-granddaughter, Addalynn Plunkett; sister, Patricia Cockrell of Plano, Texas; sister-in-law, Nancy Teafatiller of Tecumseh, OK; and other extended family and friends.

Per Brenda’s wishes no formal services will be held. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. There will be no viewing.
