Carolyn Doyle, 84 year old Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 in Woodward. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Crown Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Evans officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Carolyn Sue Johnson was born September 29, 1940 in Neosho, Missouri to Leo Ray Johnson and Juanita Lorene Myers. Before coming to Woodward in 1947, she enjoyed playing on her grandma Lillie's farm. Carolyn went on to have four children and helped raise her sisters children. Carolyn was involved with the Crown Heights Baptist Church and the community. She was the Director of the Crown Heights Clothes Closet as well as a VFW Auxiliary member. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and her church family. Carolyn loved teaching Sunday School and telling people she met about Christ.
She is survived by her sons: Harvey Fisher, Shawn Hairgrove and wife April; daughters: RaNita King and husband Kenneth, Kim Acosta and husband Terry; her loving grandkids: Kevin King and wife Jamie of Woodward, Tessa Campbell and husband Chad of Woodward, Sara Acosta of Woodward, Gavin King and wife Janessa of Woodward, Chris Acosta of Oklahoma City, Amber Pettis and husband Corey of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Caitlin Hairgrove of Oklahoma City, Allison Hairgrove of Oklahoma City; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Ramona Eike and nephew Russel Eike.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Crown Heights Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
