Kimberly Jo Downing-Miller
May 2, 1965 ~ April 16, 2021

Kimberly Jo Downing-Miller was born on May 2, 1965 to Shirley Downing and Jo Phillips in Tahlequah, OK. She passed away Friday April 16, 2021 at her home in Westville, OK.

Kimberly Jo, Punkie, Aunt Kimmie & Mom were all names she answered to, but her favorite was Granny. Kim was raised in Westville, OK by her Mom Shirley, Granny Virginia and Grandpa Clem. In her childhood she was a tomboy who loved climbing trees, being in the creek and causing trouble with all of cousins and friends. She loved being with Aunts and Uncles and always had a mischievous smile on her face. Kim was a graduate of Westville High School and was actively working on obtaining her Associates in Medical billing, with hopes to open her own business someday. In Kim’s earlier years she loved playing softball, fishing, spending time with her daughter and other family and friends and was always on the dance floor when she could find one. Kim spent the last 25 years of her life as a paraplegic, but she never allowed those limitations to stop her from what she set her mind too.

She is preceded in death by her parents Shirley Downing and Jo Phillips, her grandparents, Clem and Virginia Downing, her husband, Jesse Miller and a host of family and friends who were there to walk her home.

She is survived by her daughter, Niki Wing-Drake and Grandson Landon Drake of Siloam Springs,AR. Brother, Scott Downing and wife Pauline. Great Aunt, Martha Jane Stillabower of Dallas, TX. Godmother, Mary Jane Alexander, Claremore,OK. She also left behind 2 nieces, 1 nephew, many cousins and other extended family who she loved dearly.

Kim showed strength, compassion, empathy, charisma, and hope to those around her. Now she’s walking with the angels she collected here on Earth.
