Leona "Onie" (Farrington) Dow
May 9, 1955 ~ July 19, 2014

Leona Farrington Dow, 59, of Fairview, Oklahoma, entered Heaven's gates on July 19, 2014 at Fairview Fellowship Home, surrounded by her family.

Leona, known endearingly as "Onie," was born in Fairview on May 9, 1955 to Jennie "Nellie" and Ashley "Bob" Farrington. She attended Fairview High School and later began her career as a nurse. Passionate about helping others, Leona worked at Fairview Hospital for 28 years. She also worked at the hospital in Okeene and as a home health nurse for a number of years. Outside of her work, Leona loved to cook, can, and garden. She could make a delicious meal out of whatever ingredients you put in front of her. Leona was also a talented artist, enjoying crochet, needlepoint, and sewing.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Edith, and two of her sons, Brian and Jason.

She is survived by her son Kelly and Danielle Farrington of Fairview, OK, five grandchildren Skyler, Ethan, Ean, Olivia, and Tristan, her brothers and sisters Avon and Naomi Titus of Liberal, KS, Marvin Titus of Fairview, OK, Ben and Laura Titus of Ames, OK, Rex Farrington of Cleo Springs, OK, Ruth Lubbers of Okeene, OK, Dora Wood of Ipswich, SD, John and Linda Parker of Golden Valley, AZ, Roy and Wanda Lowder of Weatherford, OK, and Monte and Jeane Fahle of Nevada, MO, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.

A private, family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Leona's memory to Fairview Hospital Nursing Fund with the Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodian for the funds.

Condolences may be made online at www.fairviewfuneralhomeinc.com
