Victoria Virginia (Helton) Douglas

October 8, 1923 ~ March 25, 2013

Victoria Virginia Douglas was born Oct. 8, 1923 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Wesley and Esther Helton. She passed away March 25, 2013 in Midwest City, OK.

Vickie grew up in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School. After high school Victoria, worked as a switch board operator for the telephone company. She operated a diner in Guthrie for several years. She also helped her mom at the Helton Party Home.

Vickie married Warren Douglas in 1967. They attended First Christian Churches in Guthrie and Midwest City and lived in Oklahoma City. She and Warren loved going to the lake, traveling, cooking and spending time with their families.

Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Johnny, two daughters Mary Douglas and Mickey Montgomery, and son Warren Raymond Douglas.

She is survived by her son Rodney (Melissa) Douglas of Moore, daughter Beverly (Bill) Armstrong of Choctaw, and grandchildren Matt (Rachael) Armstrong, Doug (Jessica) Armstrong, Laney Douglas, Landon Douglas andLogan Douglas. She also leaves behind sisters Bernece Carey of Oklahoma City, and Shirley (Randy) Mullion of Edmond, plus many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 29, 2013, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City, OK.
