Michael K. Douglas, 65 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Michael Kelvin Douglas was born on March 18, 1957 in Ephrata, Washington. His parents were Homer C. and Beatrice Ann Douglas. Michael grew up in Bellingham, Washington and graduated from Bellingham High School. He worked as a car salesman for many years before moving to Woodward. He worked for D&D Motors for 20 years in Woodward as a car salesman and manager. He was united in marriage to Marisa Iliana Paz on February 6, 2021 in Woodward, Oklahoma.
He loved spending time with his grandkids, his dog Buddy and he enjoyed watching Street Outlaws, riding roller coasters, and taking Marisa to the movies. His favorite times were riding motorcycles, tinkering in his garage and fixing up old cars. He was a member of ABATE Northwest 69 Chapter.
He is survived by his wife Marisa Douglas of the home; sons: Chad Douglas and wife Angelina, Joshua Douglas, Marc Perez; daughters: Miranda Fischer and husband JD, Jennifer Jones and husband Patrick, Adrianna Paz; 12 grandchildren: Ryan, Bryleigh, Payslie, and Mackynzlee, Bentley and Braelyn, Linaya, Eric, and Charolette, Aayden and Aaralynn and he has one granddaughter on the way; brothers: Frank Mandarano and wife Janet, Gregg Minga and wife Dotty; sisters, Melanie Southwood and husband Graham, Carol Hemmerick; other relatives and many friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lucie and brother-in-law John Hemmerick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lawsyn's Give Back Gang for Childhood Cancer with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
