Visitation for June Marie Doremus will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 from 5:00 8:00 p.m. and funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd.
June was born on June 19, 1931 in Elk City, Oklahoma and passed away March 18, 2005 in Bakersfield of which she was a resident here for 60 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Taylor and her brother, Edward (Bud) Taylor. She is survived by her son, Paul Gause; son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Paula Doremus; daughter and son-in-law, Genny and Mark Lundin; daughter and son-in-law, Fern and Robert Brereton; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Although wheelchair bound, she didnt let that stop her from taking the bus and visiting her favorite shops and friends all over town. June was known by many and loved by all. We love you Mama and will miss you. For additional service information, please contact Basham Funeral Care 873-8200.
