Allan Lee Dooley, 55, of Tuttle, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005, after a courageous fight against cancer. Al was a wonderful father, husband, son and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Al was born on May 27, 1950 to LaVerne and Leona Darm Dooley at Ottawa, IL. He graduated form Ottawa High School in June 1968. He attended and played varsity football at the University of Montana where he received his bachelors degree in 1972. He continued his education at the Southern Illinois University earning his masters degree in June 1975. Al was the Director of Health and Safety for Kerr McGee Corporation where he had been employed since 1977.
Al loved to hunt, fish, watch his sons play football and baseball, and grow a huge garden. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Union City, Knights of Columbus, and Chemical Manufacturers Association.
Al married Peggy Van Ryzin on February 8, 1975 in Duluth, MN, she survives him in death. He is also survived by his parents, three sons, Lee Dooley of Norman, Zachary Dooley of La Mesa, CA, and Joshua Dooley of Hanover, NH; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bradford and Rhonda Dooley of Long Grove IL and David and Janet Dooley of Parker, CO; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Roger Walter of Marsailles, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Prayer services will be 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2005 with Revs. Francis Nguyen and Philip Seeton officiating. Both services will be at St. Joseph Church in Union City under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home, El Reno.
